On Saturday April 28, the track team took part in the Cassel's XBC Track Experience at Chantilly High. Chan Young Lee ran a personal best time of 4:28.73 while placing third in the boys' 1600 meter run. Sara Emsley continued her successful season with a second place finish in the girls' discus. The boy's 4x800 relay team posted a season best time of 8:34.43 while finishing in fourth place. The relay consisted of seniors Daniel Molina and Jay Cowen, junior Calvin Jones and freshman .
Also this past week, three Wildcat relay teams participated in the Penn Relays in Philadelphia. This is one of the biggest track meets in the country and an exciting opportunity for all the participants. The boys' 4x400 team of Chris Jones, Brett Martin, Alex Marmol and Mike Wright posted a season best time of 3:30.75. The boy's 4x100 team of Marcel Smith, Brett Martin, Alex Marmol, and Mike Wright also ran a very good time of 45.5. The girl's 4x400 team of Natalie King, Sydney Pryor, Maryn Wood and Amber Assadi also posted a season best time of 4:27.99.
