Thieves Make Off With Large Haul From Parked Vehicle

A strange scene at the movie theatre, too.

In a single swoop, thieves recently made off with a chainsaw, bicycle, golf clubs and tools stolen from a vehicle parked on Elk Run Road in Chantilly. Recent larcenies in the Sully District also include a number of other items taken from parked cars: a handgun, a GPS, a backpack and even a toaster oven.

On the domestic violence front, countywide, there were 18 charges for domestic violence, 76 charges for illegal drugs, and 67 DWI-related charges.

On Sunday there was also a bit of a scene at the movie theatre in Centreville, though police are still trying to determine if there was an actual violation. An adult male sitting behind a young girl at a movie theatre apparently simulated touching, or actually touched, her ponytail. The investigation is still open, and police are currently reviewing the video footage of the incident.
