App Offers Fairfax Co. Beer And Wine Lovers Deals At Local Spots

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — A new app connects beer and wine lovers to both drinks and deals at several locally-owned spots in Fairfax County.

The Locally Poured Field Guide offers discounts, deals, and prizes to those visiting Fairfax County breweries and wineries, the county said earlier this week.

The mobile-exclusive passport is available for anyone, whether they are a longtime resident or visiting for the weekend. Perks ranging from merchandise to discounted drinks are available at 15 participating businesses with the passport. Once a user checks in at seven of these locations, more prizes and discounts will be available.

Barry Biggar, president and CEO of Visit Fairfax, said his organization has been working closely with these local businesses as the county's craft beverage scene has continued to grow.

“The new Locally Poured Field Guide is an exceptional way to showcase the amazing beer and wine our talented partners craft each and every day, all while giving visitors and residents an incentive to find and enjoy places they may not have previously known about," Biggar said in a county newsletter.

Participating taprooms and wineries include Aslin Beer Company, Bike Lane Brewing, Bunnyman Brewing, Caboose Commons and Caboose Tavern, Fair Winds Brewing Co., G34.3 Brewing Company, Honor Brewing Company, Lake Anne Brew House, Mustang Sally Brewing Company, Ono Brewing Company, Paradise Springs Winery, Settle Down Easy Brewing Co., The Winery at Bull Run, and Woodlawn Press Winery.
