Sol Roots, Selena Gomez, and Jon McLaughlin Perform in Northern Virginia This Weekend

Sol Roots will perform at Bungalows in Chantilly on Saturday night. Sol Roots has performed at many premier festivals and venues across the east coast US, and his band has shared the stage with acts such as Soulive, Eric Lindell, Jon Cleary, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Jackie Greene, and more. 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Pounding the Keys. A busy weekend at Jammin Java begins with two nights of Jon McLaughlin. Home for Dinner. The Workhouse Arts Center’s 2nd Saturday Art Walk will include a special opening reception for “Home for Dinner,” a new community action exhibition showcasing how the community can make a difference in the battle with hunger and homelessness. Visitors to the exhibit are encouraged to bring canned food. The exhibit runs through Dec. 1. Reception is 6-9 p.m. Saturday. Vulcan Gallery, 9601 Ox Road, Lorton.
