Chantilly High Collecting Donations for Soldiers

The Chantilly High School National Honor Society (NHS), with the help of America's Adopt a Soldier, is hosting a care package drive to benefit soldiers who are overseas. The entire community is encouraged to participate.

The NHS is collecting these specific items until March 16:

•  International calling cards
•  Plastic zip‐lock bags (sandwich, quart or gallon size)
•  Bottles of water (donations of cases of water are greatly appreciated!)
•  Baby wipes (travel pack)
•  Sunscreen or bug repellant (no aerosols)
•  Individual instant drink packets (like instant coffee or tea, sports drinks or Crystal Light packets)
• Non‐chocolate individually wrapped snacks that travel well, like mini bags of pretzels, Pringles, crackers or cookies. (Items must be store‐bought and packed individually wrapped, home‐made items cannot be used.)

Students can also earn service hours for collecting the following:

Freshmen

• Dental Floss
• Q-tips
• Disposable cameras
• Hard Candy (individually wrapped)

Sophomores

• Batteries
• Playing Cards
• Hand Lotion
• Bar Soap, Body Wash or Hand Sanitizer

Juniors

• Laundry Detergent
• Shaving Gel
• Stationary/Paper and Pens
• Chewing Gum

Seniors

• Socks
• Shampoo & Conditioner
• Toothpaste & Toothbrushes
• Chap-Stick or Blistex
• Travel-size Tissues
