CHANTILLY, VA — Fairfax County Police located a suspect in an assault and robbery that occurred midday on Monday in the Chantilly area, according to a post on the department's official Twitter account.
Officers were on the scene at 12:26 p.m., in the 13200 block of Leafcrest Lane in Fairfax, where a woman was robbed and assaulted, according to police. The suspect took the woman's property and fled the area.

A short time later, police said they had located the suspect nearby and arrested him. Detectives were responding to the scene to take over the investigation.
