• Chesapeake police search for missing 16-year-old girl (13newsnow.com) — Chesapeake police are asking for your help to find 16-year-old Santana Wadsworth, last seen around 12:40 p.m. on Dec. 18 in the 1400 block of George Washington Highway. Officers shared her detailed description, clothing, and possible connections to Danville and Wadesboro, North Carolina, and say there’s no known medical condition or specific danger but they still want tips from anyone who may have seen her.
   

• Newport News residents rally against proposed data center near Fort Eustis (13newsnow.com) — Chesapeake residents recently packed City Council chambers and cheered when leaders unanimously rejected the proposed Etheridge Manor Data Center, citing worries about noise, utility costs, and future development. Their success is now inspiring Newport News neighbors who are organizing against a separate data center idea near Fort Eustis and the regional water supply.
