Career Study: DC's Young Professionals are Happy

Despite stress and a high cost of living, the DC metro area's young professionals are third-happiest in the nation, according to a recent study.

Young professionals working in DC are a pretty happy bunch, according to CareerBliss.com.

Based on an assessment of work-life balance, relationships with bosses and co-workers, work environment and other factors, DC ranked third in the country in terms of having a high percentage of happy young professionals. DC is essentially tied with Chicago and San Diego, WAMU reported.

In the no. 1 and 2 slots: San Jose and San Francisco.

DC was the only metro area on the top 10 list along the Eastern Seaboard.

WAMU also reported in March, however, that young professionals in DC have relatively high levels of job-related stress.
