The fast-casual bakery and cafe chain recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and has been facing challenges due to the pandemic and work-from-home trends. 2. A pit bull mix named Marley was euthanized after biting and injuring a smaller dog that escaped from its owner in Rosslyn. The decision was made by the Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) following a 10-day bite quarantine, despite several other rescues offering to take Marley and a petition to save her reaching over 7,000 signatures. Attention, Metrorail riders: the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has announced that late-night Metrorail service on weeknights will be reduced for three weeks due to maintenance work on the tracks. Arlington Public Schools Superintendent Francisco Durán has proposed a budget of $803.3 million for the 2023-2024 school year, reflecting an increase of more than 7 percent over the current budget.
