Courthouse Potomac CrossFit Opens

Potomac CrossFit is open in the Courthouse area, again.

The facility reportedly had to close last year to make way for construction on N. Highland Street, and has opened a new facility at 1320 N. Courthouse Road. The grand opening was Saturday, according to the company’s Facebook page.

“CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide,” according to the company’s website.

CrossFit focuses on the “Workout of the Day,” cross-functional training and nutrition.

There are now more than a dozen CrossFit gym locations inside the Capital Beltway alone. Other Arlington gyms are in Rosslyn, Courthouse, Ballston, north of Crystal City and near Shirlington. CrossFit has more than 4,000 gyms nationwide.
