DC Man Suspected of Stealing Vehicle Arrested In Clarendon: Police

Following a brief foot chase, Arlington County Police arrested a D.C. in connection with a stolen vehicle case on Wednesday.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested a D.C. man Wednesday morning in connection with a stolen vehicle in the Clarendon area.

Around 10:35 a.m., an officer spotted a vehicle that matched one that had been reported stolen traveling near the intersection of 10th Street N. at Wilson Boulevard.

After conducting a traffic stop, the officers ordered the driver to exit the vehicle. Although the driver complied with the order, he ran off, which initiated a foot chase.

Police eventually were able to take the suspect into custody. While searching the vehicle, officers discovered a stolen license place. No injuries were reported.

Police arrested 28-year-old Keonte Marshall of Washington, D.C., charging him with the unauthorized use of a vehicle, obstruction of justice and buying/receiving stolen goods. Marshall was then held without bond.
