Homeowner Finds Burglar in Backyard

A Dale City homeowner found a burglar in his backyard and his gaming console missing when he returned home, Prince William County Police said. 

The homeowner had arrived back at his residence on the 4700 block of Kilbane Road when he noticed that his gaming console, games and other property were missing. He then saw an unknown person running through his backyard, according to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok. 

Police dispatched a K-9 to search for the suspect, but did not find him. Authorities believe that the burglar entered through a rear window. The homeowner was unable to describe the suspect. The value of the stolen items was about $1,500.
