The new certification program is an innovative approach to support community-development customers, that will lead them closer to the final Certification of Occupancy and garner faster turnaround times, during these challenging times.

The site work, as performed, will be inspected to the minimum requirements of Prince William County’s Design and Construction Standards Manual. All work shall be completed in compliance with the Approved Site Plan, the Prince William County Zoning Ordinance, and the Prince William County Design and Construction Standards Manual and/or other ordinances relating to site development.

Once a Temporary/Partial Occupancy Permit is issued, Site Inspectors will take the lead and monitor the site regularly to ensure punch list items are completed. The Land Development Project Manager will remain in close contact with the Site Inspector to ensure the customer is diligently pursuing the punch list. When the site work is completed, the customer will coordinate a final site inspection. If approved, the Site Inspector will provide the customer a copy of the Final Site Inspection form, following the normal procedures.
