Teen Made Bomb Threat At Dale City School: Police
The Prince William County police have charged a 13-year-old boy with threatening to bomb a Dale City school.
DALE CITY, VA — A 13-year-old boy has been charged with threatening to bomb a Dale City school, but the Prince William County police determined the threat was not credible, according to a police report. On Thursday morning, Sept. 12, the teenager, whose name was not released, used a social media app to send a message to fellow students that he would bomb Beville Middle School, the police said.
The other students told school personnel, who immediately notified Beville's school resource officer, a police officer who patrols the school. That officer "subsequently identified the student and determined that the risk to the school was not credible," the police said.
After an investigation, the school resource officer charged the student with making threats to bomb the school, which is located at 4901 Dale Blvd. The case will be handled by the county's juvenile court system, the police said.
