10th Annual MV Big Flea Set for Saturday in Del Ray

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Now in its 10th year, the MV Big Flea is a huge fundraiser coming up this Saturday which benefits students at Mount Vernon Community School and is organized by the Mt Vernon Community School PTA.

Hours of Saturday's event:

• 7-8 a.m.: Got your eye on some treasures? Get an early start with early bird admission ($10 entrance fee) is at 7 a.m.
• 8 a.m. - 12 noon: free general admissions are from 8 a.m.-noon. Look for sales to be slashed to half-off mid-way through the event.
• 12 noon: Pay $5 to enter at 12 noon, when all items left will be free for the taking.

Last year, organizers of the event raised more than $36,000 at the sale. Proceeds are used for things such as field trips, enrichment activities, special events, computers, musical instruments and art and classroom supplies. Organizers take your unwanted household items and furniture and turn them into cash for the school. All donations are tax-deductible.
