2016 Del Ray Tree Decorating Contest: We Have a Winner
Twelve Alexandria-based non-profits participated in the annual contest, which was decided by a public online vote.
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Del Ray Business Association's Pat Miller recently presented ALIVE! Executive Director Diane Charles with a $500 check, the Alexandria non-profit's prize for winning the 2016 Del Ray Tree Decorating Contest.
The ALIVE! tree featured food-themed decorations, spotlighting their work as the largest private safety net for the needy in the city of Alexandria. Twelve Alexandria-based non-profits participated in the annual contest, which was decided by a public online vote.
In addition to ALIVE!, the 2016 Del Ray Tree Decorating Contest included The Community Kids Club, Alexandria Police Foundation, The Del Ray Montessori School, The Salvation Army, Alexandria VA Citadel Corps, YoKid...Stretch Your Limits, Cub Scout Pack 135, The Del Ray Kinderchoir, Alexandria Film Festival, Mount Vernon Community School PTA in Alexandria,VA, Friends of Duncan Library and Del Ray United Methodist Church.
