Alexandria Boutiques Open Early for Black Friday

More than 50 independent boutiques in Alexandria are opening early on Black Friday, Nov. 29 to offer door-buster deals throughout the morning.

Participating stores in Old Town, Del Ray and elsewhere will offer 30 percent discounts from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., 20 percent from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 10 percent thereafter.

Parking is free in all city-owned garages on Black Friday and metered parking will not be enforced. The King Street Trolley will begin running at 6 a.m. as well to accommodate shoppers.

For hungry shoppers: Jackson 20, located at 480 King St., will be hosting a Black Friday Brunch from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Society Fair, located at 277 S. Washington St., opens at 7 a.m. and is offering 10 percent off orders all day. Union Street Public House is opening at 9 a.m. for breakfast on Black Friday and is offering a 10 percent discount on meals.
