Car Reported Stolen on Braddock Road Tuesday

A 2013 black Volkswagen Passat was reported stolen from the 100 block of W. Braddock Road early Tuesday morning, according to the owner who asked not to be named.

A second vehicle parked in a driveway on the block between Commonwealth and Russell roads was rifled through, but nothing was stolen.

“Please remind everyone to lock their cars!” the owner wrote in an email to Patch. “I am sure we forgot to lock ours.” 

The owner filed a report with the Alexandria Police Department at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

A department spokesperson said no further information was available because the case had yet to be entered into the police department’s system.
