Delight Magazine Names The Happy Tart to 'Best Bakeries' List

Delight Magazine, a publication for those with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, food allergies and sensitivities, recently named The Happy Tart to its “Best Bakeries in America” list.

The Happy Tart, located at 2307a Mount Vernon Ave. in Del Ray, is one of 20 gluten-free bakeries on the list, which is included in the magazine’s March-April issue and is also posted online. 

Delight Magazine selected eateries that are 100 percent gluten-free.

According to the magazine’s website:

We think finding an exclusively gluten-free menu of itself is a treat. Order gluten-free treats freely and with ease (no worry about cross-contamination at any of these bakeries). Grab something on the go, dine in and enjoy a special treat or have some goodies mail directly to your door.

Three Fellers Bakery in Goochland was the other Virginia bakery included on the list. Sweet 27 in Baltimore and Freedom Bakery in Severna Park, Md., were also selected.
