Fire at Home on Commonwealth Avenue? Only a Drill, Fire Department Says

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Where there's smoke there's fire but on Wednesday, if you happened to see a fire along Commonwealth Avenue, it was just a drill for Alexandria firefighters.

"We are training at the 2400 block of Commonwealth," said Rick Muse, Jr., a spokesman for the Alexandria Fire Department. "We have been over there training for a month now."

The property is privately owned, he said.
