Fresh Bagels Coming to Del Ray Friday Morning
Salt|Bagel to offer fresh bagels, pickles at pop-up shop starting Friday morning in Del Ray.
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Del Ray residents will awaken to the scent of fresh bagels Friday morning when Salt|Bagel opens its doors at 7 a.m. on Mt. Vernon Avenue. The pop-up will open at 2310 Mt. Vernon Ave., the longtime location of The Dairy Godmother frozen custard shop.
Salt|Bagel, a pop-up enterprise from Bagel Uprising and No. 1 Sons, opens Friday and will sell bagels and pickles for six weeks, Chad Breckenridge said. Some folks may have noticed that Salt|Bagel was open on Thursday, as the shop opened a day earlier than previously advertised, for a "test drive."
Look for bagels, cream cheeses, pickles, kimchi, kombucha and more. Bagel Uprising's Chad Breckinridge is an FCC staffer on weekdays and a bagel baker on weekends. Bagel Uprising and No. 1 Sons met up at the Four Mile Run market on Sundays. Bagel Uprising launched there in September 2015.
Salt|Bagel will be open daily.
