The Limited Closing All of Its Chain Clothing Stores
The Limited women's clothing store had several locations in Northern Virginia; the brick and mortar stores close for good on Sunday.

The Limited women's clothing store is closing all of its brick and mortar locations nationwide, effective Sunday, according to a message posted to its Web site. In Northern Virginia, the store had locations in Pentagon City, Tysons Corner Center, Fair Oaks Mall, and Potomac Mills.
The Limited opened its first store in 1963 in Columbus, Ohio, growing into a national chain of 250 stores. In 2015, it was purchased by Sun Capital Partners Inc. By early December, the writing was on the wall, with 70 percent off sales and no returns, according to several posts from customers on its Facebook page.

"In an increasingly challenging environment for mall-based retail and women's apparel, we are very disappointed that the company has had to make the difficult decision to close its retail locations," owner Sun Capital told Reuters. Some 4,000 workers at The Limited, including 800 full-time employees, will lose their jobs, Reuters reported.
The Limited will live on, online, according to the message on its Web site:
