In Memoriam: Marybeth Walsh, 51, Longtime Del Ray Resident

A memorial service will be held Friday at Del Ray Methodist Church.

Marybeth Walsh, 51, a longtime resident of Del Ray, who ran My Whole Self, a health coaching business, died Friday, March 20 after a long battle with leukemia.

Marybeth touched many people in the Alexandria area with her inspirational talks and classes about nutrition as well as with her upbeat, personable style. She was a regular at the Del Ray Farmer’s Market and she volunteered at Maury Elementary School where her son, Will, was a student until they relocated last year to Maryland after she got engaged.

She is survived by Will, her mother Betty Walsh, sister Kelle Walsh and brother Bill Walsh. She is also survived by fiancé Scott Pearce, sister-in-law Katherine Shek, nephew Daniel Walsh and nieces Rebecca and Naomi Walsh, uncle Rev. Richard Walsh and aunt Nancy Lawton.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., March 27 at the Del Ray Methodist Church, 100 E. Windsor Ave., Alexandria, VA.
