'High-End' Salon Bisoux to Open in Early April

Krista and Philippe Depeyrot are aiming to open their new hair salon—named Salon Bisoux—the first week of April at the Lofts of Del Ray.

The couple has worked at Cristophe Salon in the District for more than 18 years; Krista as a colorist and Philippe, a native of southwest France, as artistic director and manager.

Krista Depeyrot was born in the District, was raised in Alexandria and is a graduate of T.C. Williams High School. The couple lives in Rosemont. 

“I have lots of friends in the neighborhood,” she said. “We basically live in the Dairy Godmother. We go to Core Wellness for our physical therapy ... We’ve sourced so many local businesses to get our place open. We’re really excited.”

Salon Bisoux (French for “kisses” in an affectionate way) will be located at 2709 Mount Vernon Ave. next to RE/MAX Executives.

Krista Depeyrot said Bisoux will be a “high-end salon.”

“I think that’s kind of the direction Del Ray is going,” she said. “Just lots of eclectic, cool stuff in the neighborhood.”
