Police Reports: Power Company Scam, Assaults in the Del Ray Area
The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the Del Ray-Rosemont-Arlandria area of Alexandria.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.
July 5 — An assault was reported at 8:39 p.m. in the 100 block of W. Glebe Road.
July 4 — An assault was reported at 3:02 p.m. in the 3200 block of Landover Street.

July 4 — An arrest was made for a liquor law violation at 7:20 a.m. in the 400 block of E. Monroe Avenue.
July 2 — An arrest for drunk in public was made at 5:29 p.m. in the 200 block of W. Glebe Road.

June 30 — A theft was reported on Ashby Street at 7:57 p.m.
June 30 — A laptop computer was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 7:22 p.m. in the 200 block of Lynhaven Drive.
June 30 — A victim reported an unknown suspect slashed the plastic rear window of her vehicle parked in a lot in the 600 block of Four Mile Road. Nothing appeared to be stolen. The incident was reported at 10:23 a.m.
June 29 — A vehicle was reported stolen at 11:33 p.m. from the parking lot behind a building in the 3900 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.
June 29 — A victim reported being assaulted by two unknown subjects at 11:12 p.m. in the 500 block of Four Mile Road. The victim lost his cell phone during the fight.
June 29 — A victim living in the 2900 block of Sycamore Street was scammed out of a large sum of money by subjects fraudulently posing as representatives of the Virginia Power Company demanding money to pay her bill so her power wouldn’t be turned off. The incident was reported at 8:09 p.m.
June 29 — An arrest was made for robbery at 6:10 p.m. in the 800 block of W. Glebe Road.
June 29 — An assault was reported at 1:43 p.m. in the 3800 block of Edison Street.
June 28 — A vehicle parked in the 300 block of E. Braddock Road was entered by unknown means. The interior was ransacked and a camera was stolen. The incident was reported at 9:51 a.m.
June 27 — Graffiti was reported spray-painted on a residential complex in the 3800 block of Executive Avenue.
June 26 — A victim living in the 2900 block of Landover Street reported at 1:49 p.m. that their identity was stolen and used for fraudulent activity.
June 26 — At 5:56 a.m., a victim reported the tires and rims were stolen from his vehicle parked in the driveway of his home in the 500 block of W. Glebe Road.
