Thanksgiving is today (Thursday) and even the best-laid plans can mean a last-minute run to the grocery store for pumpkin pie, more wine or those fried onions for the all-important green bean casserole. Here's a look at grocery store hours on Thanksgiving Day in Northern Virginia:
- Giant: 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Safeway: (call your Safeway for specific hours)
- The Fresh Market: CLOSED
- Whole Foods: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Wegmans: 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Trader Joes: CLOSED
- MOMs My Organic Market: CLOSED (but open extended hours Monday to Wednesday before Thanksgiving from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
- ALDI: CLOSED
- Harris Teeter: 24/7 stores close at 2 p.m.
