This One's For the Birds

Volunteers hang 20 birdhouses in Charles W. Hill Park in guerrilla beautification project.

A team of volunteers and children volunteered their time Tuesday evening for a guerrilla beautification project in one of Del Ray’s parks.

The motely crew organized by Pat Miller hung 20 donated birdhouses in the trees of Charles W. Hill Park.

The third-of-an-acre park located at 300 E. Oxford Ave. is named after an Alexandria police officer killed in the line of duty in the late 1980s.
