The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) will partner across the Northern Virginia region to offer expanded COVID-19 testing services to support communities that have less access to testing. The “CTC+” initiative is a vendor-operated van with testing staff that will deploy to sites based on community needs identified by local health department staff and partners.

After Feb. 15, the testing vendor will offer free Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing for COVID-19 to individuals age 3 months and older. PCR test results are usually available within a few days and are very effective in detecting an active COVID-19 infection, even if the patient is asymptomatic. The hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Walk-ins (walk-ups) are welcome.

Anyone with questions is welcome to reach out to the Health Department’s Call Center at 703-267-3511 to locate a testing location. Individuals interested in making an appointment may do so after Feb. 15 by visiting VASE+ .
