Two bakeries in the Fairfax area are giving away free cookies in the coming weeks. One is getting an assist from a Fairfax City business.

FAIRFAX, VA — Cookie lovers — which is basically everybody — will have two opportunities in the next week or so to score free cookies at two locations in the Fairfax area

Anyone who visits an Insomnia Cookies bakery wearing a costume on Halloween will receive one free classic cookie. No purchase is necessary.

Do the math: Costume + Insomnia + Halloween = one free cookie.

Insomnia has several locations in Northern Virginia, including one in the University Mall Shopping Center at 10669 Braddock Road, Space D-7 in Fairfax.

On Saturday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m., King Arthur Bakery will be handing out free samples of Triple Chocolate Chip cookies baked by the Liberty Baking Co. while supplies last. One cookie per person present.
