FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a suspect caught on a surveillance camera stealing a package from a city potch recently.

Around 4:49 p.m. on Oct. 4, a man posing as a food delivery driver took a package worth $1,200 from the front yard porch of a house in the city, according to police. He then drove off in a 2023-2024 beige or silver Chevy Malibu. No information was available about the car’s license plate number.

On Oct. 5, police released a photo taken by the home’s surveillance camera. Anyone who recognizes the man in the photo or has other information about this case is asked to contact Ofc. M. Kennedy at 571-361-7152 or mkennedy@fairfax.gov. Tips may also be submitted to Crime Solvers at 703-591-8477.
