Special Election Results: Bulova Wins 11th District Delegate Race
With all precincts reporting, Democrat Gretchen Bulova won the 11th District House of Delegates race, according to unofficial results.

FAIRFAX, VA — With all precincts reporting, Democrat Gretchen Bulova defeated Republican Adam J. Wise in Tuesday's special election to choose the 11th District's representative to the Virginia House of Delegates, according to unofficial results.
"Delegate-elect Bulova's decades of service to Fairfax County and her dedication to preserving our shared history have earned the trust of voters, and she will bring the same thoughtfulness and leadership to the House of Delegates," said State Sen. Lamont Bagby, chairman of the Democratic Party of Virginia.

Bulova will succeed her husband, David Bulova, who stepped down to become incoming Gov. Abigail Spanberger's nominee as the next secretary of natural and historic resources. The new governor will be sworn in Saturday during a ceremony in Richmond.

- Adam J. Wise (R): 2,508 (30.81%)

- 21 of 21 Precincts Reporting
The 11th District covers all of Fairfax City and parts of Fairfax County, including Fair Oaks and Oakton. The non-profit Virginia Public Information Project describes the district as "Strong Democratic."
Bulova will have to move quickly, because the 2026 Virginia General Assembly legislative session begins on Wednesday.
