Luncheon and Author Discussion Will Benefit Children's Programs

Assistance League Event Will Feature Authors Discussing Their Biographies Of Two Important Women

Assistance League of Northern Virginia is thrilled to announce that ticket sales are now open for its Literary Luncheon and Fundraiser on Sunday, April 28, at the Chantilly National Golf and Country Club. This is an event you don’t want to miss! Doors open at 11 and the luncheon program starts at noon. Guests will listen to the featured authors, Judith Pearson and Christopher Gorham, who will discuss their biographies of two amazing women, followed by a Q&A session moderated by Peggy Fox.

The nonprofit has an appealing array of travel packages to fabulous destinations for its live auction, and is adding more enticements to its silent auction items every week. Those treats include a weekend getaway to a lakeside home in the Charlottesville area that sleeps eight. Or, treat your automobile to some painstaking detailing by a pro who will come to your home with all the needed supplies, and dedicate at least 5 hours to making your vehicle spotless, inside and out. Other winning bidders can retain the services of a painter for a day or commission the creation of an afghan, made to your specifications – both a priceless and unique treasure! Among the many other silent auction gems are restaurant gift cards and sports memorabilia.
