New Heaven New Earth Church Holds Supplies Drive for Herndon School

Well over 90 percent of teachers spend their own money on school supplies and other items their students need to succeed. On average, in 2023 the National Education Association reported that educators spent somewhere between $500 and $750 of their own money every year on supplies for their students. That number has only continued to rise, estimating that the average teacher will spend almost $900 out of pocket on needed supplies for their classroom this year.

Knowing the need for new supplies in the Herndon area this year, the congregation of New Heaven New Earth Church held a massive $7000.00 school supplies drive to ensure our students are properly equipped to thrive this year. The donation drop off was held from 12:00-1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024.

New Heaven New Earth Church is a local Christian body of faith working to shine a bright light to their local community. The church is active in organizing many charitable projects such as food and clothing drives, community clean up initiatives, and school supplies drives just like this one.

New Heaven New Earth hopes that by sharing the positive initiatives they are doing, other organizations will be inspired to make a greater impact themselves so that we can create a healthier, cleaner, and more loving community together!
