- Falls Church City Council is considering changes to its "T-Zones" for small residential project developments on infill sites. The proposed changes aim to create more housing variety and neighborhood-serving retail and encourage reinvestment from larger builders. The Planning Commission has recommended allowing triplexes and four-unit residential buildings on one-acre or smaller lots by right, and has also recommended a maximum height of 40 feet or three stories for by-right buildings. City Council will review zoning text amendments during its Mar. 6 work session. (Falls Church Patch)
- In case you missed it, Fairfax Water began its spring water main flushing on Monday, Feb. 20 for customers in Falls Church. The treatment process will last through May 15 and involves a switch from combined chlorine to free chlorine. The water company notes that residents may notice a temporary chlorine taste and odor in their drinking water during this period, as well as slight discoloration and sediments in the water. (Falls Church Virginia)
- Vienna Restaurant Week returns from Mar. 3 through 10 with about 50 local restaurants, cafes, and other eateries participating. The 10-day event features preset, three-course menus, with brunch and lunch costing $25 per person and dinner costing $35 to $40 per person. Discounted a la carte dishes will also be available, along with dine-in, takeout, and delivery options. (Tysons Reporter)
