Bike to Work Day Registration Open

Bike to Work Day 2013 online registration is now open and the greater Falls Church area has several pit stops planned for bikers.

Many Washington, DC area communities are participating in the May 17 event.

Free T-shirts will be available for the first 12,000 registrants who are in attendance at the pit stop where they are registered.

Here are our local pit stops in and around Falls Church: 

Morning

• Strawberry Park Angelika Theater, Merrifield
• W&OD Trail and Sandburg Street
• W&OD Trail at Grove Avenue, Tricentennial Park

Afternoon 

• Directly adjacent to the W&OD TrailEast of Lee Highway and N. Washington Street (Near Econo Lodge).

The League of American Bicyclists began Bike to Work Day in 1956 as part of  Bike to Work month.
