- Famed Broadway actress, Kerry Butler, visited Marshall High School's theater program on Feb. 17. Butler, who has played star roles in Broadway musical premieres like "Hairspray," "Xanadu," "Mean Girls," and "Beetlejuice," did a musical workshop with students after conducting a similar workshop for Oakton High School's upcoming musical "Mean Girls." - Two large D.C.-area commercial real estate companies have merged. The Rockville, Maryland-based broker Edge Commercial Real Estate has been acquired for an undisclosed sum by D.C.-based commercial real estate brokerage company KLNB. Already the largest independent brokerage in the mid-Atlantic when it comes to retail, office, and industrial leasing, sales, and property management, KLNB adds multi-family properties to its portfolio with the merger. - PBS' new headquarters in nearby Crystal City is still looking new. Despite it being about three years since the national public broadcasting network first hoped to move in, the new headquarters at 1225 S. Clark St. still gleams as if it's brand new. For the previous 13 years, PBS had been just a half mile down the street at 2100 Crystal Dr. before recommitting to Arlington and Crystal City in 2019. (ARLnow)
