Fairfax County Public Schools Employee Arrested for Embezzlement: Police
Police say employee at elementary school took money from student lunch accounts over a period of three years.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Detectives from the Major Crimes Division began an investigation on June 16 into a Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) employee allegedly embezzling money from student lunch accounts at Bailey’s Elementary School, located at 6111 Knollwood Drive in Falls Church.
Police were notified about the allegation from the FCPS Internal Investigations Section after a member of management in food services discovered discrepancies in accounting records.
Further investigation revealed that for over a period of three years, the suspect allegedly took a large sum of money from several different lunch accounts.

Detectives from the Financial Crimes Section obtained warrants for three counts of embezzlement for Fadwa Sarsaur, 51, of the Alexandria area, and she turned herself in at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center shortly after 1 p.m. Friday.
