Falls Church Man Charged In Connection With Rape At Motel: Police

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Fairfax County police arrested and charged a Falls Church man on Tuesday in connection with a sexual assault in September at the Quarry Inn Motel on Lee Highway.

Police detectives identified Erick Vladamir Chacon Martinez, 23, as the suspect in a Sept. 16 rape at the Falls Church motel. Chacon Marinez was taken into custody on Tuesday by the FCPD’s Fugitive Track and Apprehension Unit, police said.

Around 6:40 p.m. on Sept. 16, Chacon Martinez arranged to meet the victim at the Quarry Inn Motel, located on the Fairfax County side of Lee Highway across from the City of Falls Church, police said.

When the victim opened the door, police said, the suspect displayed a knife and threatened the victim. According to police, the suspect then sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to escape the room and call 911, police said.

During the investigation, the FCPD released surveillance footage of Chacon Martinez leaving the motel.

Detectives also identified a phone number used to arrange a meeting with the victim prior to the incident as being associated with Chacon Martinez, police said. Leads from social media accounts and additional camera footage further linked Chacon Martinez as the suspect, according to police.

Chacon Martinez is being held on no bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He is facing charges of rape, forcible sodomy, and abduction with the intent to defile.

Police said victim specialists from the FCPD’s Major Crimes Bureau’s Victim Services Division have been assigned to ensure the victim is receiving appropriate resources and assistance.
