Urgent Care Center Joins Growing Medical Space In Falls Church's West End
A new urgent care center is open at the Birch & Broad shopping center near the future West Falls development.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — The west end of Falls Church City is slated to offer plentiful new space for medical services, and the latest to open is Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care.
Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, an urgent care facility, opened Thursday at the Birch & Broad shopping center, 1208-D West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA. The urgent care centers are a partnership between Inova Health System and GoHealth Urgent Care. GoHealth is an operator of urgent care centers in various U.S. metro areas through partnerships with health systems. Another Falls Church area location had opened in late 2023 in the Seven Corners Shopping Center at 6371 Seven Corners Center.
Urgent care centers can be a less-costly alternative to emergency rooms for non-emergency conditions. Adults and children 6 months and older can receive care for health concerns like COVID-19, flu, fever, asthma, allergies, minor cuts, burns, pink eye, urinary tract infections, fractures, sprains, strains and more. Patients needing further care can be connected to Inova's network.

“People and communities thrive when they have access to quality care close to where they live, work and shop,” said Meredith Porter, medical director of Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, in a statement. "Our new Birch & Broad center is conveniently located in a newly renovated shopping center that caters to the community’s daily needs, which makes it easier for our neighbors to get the care they need and deserve."
Inova GoHealth Urgent Care centers are open daily, including holidays. The new Birch & Broad location in Falls Church is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The new urgent care center joins the nearby medical office space The Wellness Center at the West Falls development. The recently-completed medical office will be able to accommodate tenants like healthcare systems, specialty practice groups and independent practitioners.
This is the first building to open at West Falls, a mixed-use development next to the new Meridian High School. The 10-acre mixed-use development at Route 7 and Haycock Road will have 400 apartments, 126 condominiums, senior living, retail, hotel, medical office building, and community plaza. The development's first phase is expected to be ready later in 2024.
