The Falls, Replacement For Liberty Barbecue, Opens In Falls Church
The Falls is open, offering a seasonal and artisanal approach to the menu with some favorites from Liberty Barbecue.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — After Liberty Barbecue closed over the summer, a new concept called The Falls opened this week.
The Liberty Tavern Restaurant Group, which also run Northside Social, Liberty Tavern and Lyon Hall, announced over the summer that Liberty Barbecue would transition to a new concept. The Falls, located at 370 W Broad St., offers a "seasonal, artisanal approach to Mid-Atlantic cooking in a fresh and comfortable interior," according to the restaurant's website.
On the menu, expect starters like a House Made Bread Basket, Fried Virginia Oysters, House Made Ricotta and Fancy Fish Sticks. There's variety in bowl options, such as the Local Bibb Lettuce, Little Gems Lettuce, Red Quinoa and Blue Crab Bisque.

Main plate options for dinner include Grilled Line-Caught Swordfish, Grilled Hanger Steak, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and more. Fans of Liberty Barbecue will be pleased to see smoked meats on the menu, such as the Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, 1/2 Rack Baby Back Ribs and Carolina Trout Filet.
During happy hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily, enjoy specials on food like the Twice-Cooked French Fries, Pulled Pork Sandwich and Broadbent Pepper Bacon Plate as well as drinks like the Bing Cherry Margarita, The Falls Lager and Virginia Julep.

Breakfast, brunch and lunch menus are coming soon.
Initial hours during opening week are 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday for happy hour and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday to Saturday for dinner. Hours will be expanded in the coming weeks, according to the restaurant's website.
