Food Delivery Driver Assaulted, Robbed Saturday in Falls Church Area: Police
Police say suspect is facing charges in assault and robbery of a food delivery man in the early hours Saturday in Falls Church area.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police say a delivery man was assaulted and robbed early Saturday in the Falls Church area. The incident took place in the 7400 block of Linda Lane (see map below) around 1:20 a.m. Saturday.
A 51-year-old man was delivering food to a location in the area when he was approached by a man who repeatedly assaulted him, took the food and ran off, according to police. Officers, along with K9 police dogs, responded and tracked the suspect to an address. A suspect was identified and taken into custody.
Christian Matthew Huamani, 22, of Fairfax, was arrested, taken to the Adult Detention Center, and charged with robbery, according to police. An outstanding warrant for domestic assault was also served.
