Letter to the Editor: Falls Church Shouldn't Sell Water Company
Local man doesn't think it's a good idea to sell off Falls Church Water.

Falls Church should avoid any and all association with private water providers [see story].
Around the U.S., communities that have privatized their water systems have suffered from skyrocketing bills, poor water quality, workforce reductions and other woes. Ultimately, private water companies shortchange communities because serving the public good often takes a backseat to their own bottom lines.
Falls Church and Fairfax County residents receiving services from this system should instead push for a publicly run regional system that can efficiently and inexpensively provide safe, clean, affordable water to the community.
