FALLS CHURCH, VA — Barbecue lovers can no longer get their fix at Liberty Barbecue in Falls Church, which closed on July 9. But the restaurant group is turning the restaurant into a new concept.

The new concept at 370 W Broad St. will be called The Falls. The restaurant group, which also owns Northside Social, Liberty Tavern and Lyon Hall, expects The Falls to open in August.

Liberty Barbecue had been open since 2017, replacing the former Famous Dave's.

"Over the past year, we decided that we wanted to expand and refine what we've offered at Liberty Barbecue."

The transition to The Falls includes an updated interior and more food and drink offerings. The restaurant plans to have a greater focus on "local ingredients and fresh baked goods." Arlington Magazine reported more information on the menu offerings.
