Longtime Northern Virginia Sports Bar to Close Its Doors
After 37 years, the Northern Virginia sports bar is planning a "blow out" party this weekend before it closes for good.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A centrally located longtime sports bar in Northern Virginia will be closing its doors this weekend, according to several news reports, including the Associated Press.
Former NBA point guard Kevin Grevey of the Washington Bullets and wife Sandy will close the doors to their Grevey's Restaurant & Sports Bar after 37 years on Sunday, Dec. 11. Grevey said he was not able to negotiate a favorable lease at the longtime location at Yorktown Shopping Center in Merrifield on Arlington Boulevard (see map below).
The restaurant and bar is known for its pub food and lots of sports on the big screens. If you want to stop in before it closes, hours are 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.

A party is planned, with live music, the day before the restaurant closes. The party is set for this Saturday night from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. The doors close on Sunday.
