Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week: Falls Church Eateries Joining
The DC region's week-long summer restaurant week will feature special menus at participating restaurants.
FALLS CHURCH, VA — Foodies will be able to try special menus at restaurants around the DC region with the returning Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week. Several Falls Church area restaurants are participating.
The restaurant week from Aug. 28 to Sept. 3 features three-course $25 lunch or brunch menus and $40 or $55 dinner menus. Select restaurants will have takeout and delivery options and wine or cocktail pairings.
"This year’s Summer Restaurant Week cycle is a special one," said Shawn Townsend, president and CEO of Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington. "Not only does the promotional week take place during the DC Jazz Festival, we have multiple restaurants participating from our region’s airports, allowing both locals and travelers to the area to take part in the special offerings."

In the Falls Church area, 2941 Restaurant, Ellie Bird, La Côte D'Or Café and Trio Grill are participating.
The $55-per-person dinner menu from Chef Bertrand Chemel's 2941 Restaurant is a three-course prix fixe menu. For an appetizer, choose between chilled green asparagus soup, jumbo lump crab salad, Medina F.H. Farm tomato salad, or Hamachi "steak tartare." Entrée options include New Zealand king salmon, yellow corn raviolini, crescent duck duo, and fruits de mer. Dessert options include lemon meringue pie, dulcey almond inspiration, and pistachio and strawberries.

At Ellie Bird from Michelin-starred Yuan and Carey Tang, enjoy three courses for $55 per person. Starters include Ellie Bird kale salad, little gem wedge salad, pan con tomate, blistered shishitos, and salmon poke. Entrée options include cacio e-lote, fennel rigatoni, branzino, Amish chicken piccata, and grilled pork chop. For dessert, enjoy Rachel's chocolate cake, creme fraiche panna cotta, or housemade seasonal sorbet.
La Côte D'Or Café from Chef Jacques Imperato has brunch, lunch and dinner menus. Selections vary by menu. All menus include three courses.
Trio Grill's $55 dinner menu has not been shared on the restaurant week website. Check with the restaurant directly to see offerings.

Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week is hosted by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, which represents the DC region's restaurants and food service industry. Restaurant week is held twice a year, typically in January and August.
