Neapolitan Pizza Favorite Pizzeria Orso Closes In Falls Church
Pizzeria Orso, a sister restaurant to 2941 Restaurant, is no longer open at Pearson Square in the City of Falls Church.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Pizzeria Orso, a sister restaurant of fine dining eatery 2941 Restaurant, has closed in Falls Church.
The pizzeria closed at the Pearson Square development at 400 South Maple Avenue in Falls Church. Northern Virginia Magazine first reported the Feb. 18 closure.
"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of Pizzeria Orso," the restaurant shared on its website. "We want to extend our deepest gratitude to our loyal customers, dedicated staff, and everyone who has been part of our journey. Your support and patronage have meant the world to us."

Pizzeria Orso opened in summer 2010, serving up Neapolitan pizzas made in a wood-fired oven and other Italian and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. Chef Bertrand Chemel of 2941 Restaurant was also executive chef of Pizzeria Orso.
Pizzeria Orso was certified by the Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana, which sets standards for preparing an authentic Neapolitan pizza. The restaurant received local accolades, including Best Pizza in the Best of Falls Church awards by the Falls Church News-Press.
