New Faces in Falls Church Area Schools

For sure there will be a few students new to Falls Church and attending classes in the Falls Church City Public Schools and Fairfax County Public Schools. There will also be some new faces amongst teachers and administrators in the schools Tuesday.

In FCCPS, there is not only a new principal at Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School, there is also a new superintendent.

started July 1 replacing Dr. Lois Berlin as superintendent.

At Henderson, steps in replacing Ann McCarty who resigned in May and will become principal at Williamsburg Middle School in Arlington.

will take over at Shrevewood Elementary, an FCPS school, this year replacing principal Shirley McCoy, who left after 14 years on the job.
