Police Investigate Gun Shot Sounds in West Falls Church Area
Police were called at about 12:36 a.m. Friday, responding to a report of what sounded like gunshots.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police investigated what sounded like gunshots early Friday in the West Falls Church area, they said Friday.
Police were called at about 12:36 a.m. responding to a report of what sounded like gunshots in an area near Wayne Road and Westmoreland Road (see map below), they said.
Police checked the area for suspects but no one was located. A few bullet casings were found along the street in the area, police said, but officers weren't able to determine whether they were directly related to the report. Nothing appeared to be damaged and no one was injured.
