Traffic Advisory for Seven Corners Intersection Thursday Night

Police will be on hand to help direct traffic while contractor replaces signal equipment.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A contractor will be replacing Seven Corners traffic signal equipment between Thursday at 9 p.m. and Friday at 5 a.m., weather permitting. Eight Fairfax County Police officers will be on site to help with traffic, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

For safety reasons, drivers entering the intersection from westbound Route 50 will not be allowed to make a left turn at the signal during the timeframe, from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, according to a VDOT spokesman. Those wishing to make a left turn will have to turn right onto Route 7 (whether they’re heading east or west on Route 7), then make a U-turn at the next intersection.

The intersection will remain open, with police on hand to help with traffic.
