VALENTINE’S DAY: Share Your Love Story With Patch

We want to hear the story of love and happiness!

This Valentine’s Day, as was New Year’s Eve, Christmas and Thanksgiving, is my first as a married man!

On Sept. 4, I married the love of my life and while some will say I’m still in the “honeymoon stage,” I can honestly say I am very happy. I never thought I would marry someone whose name is almost like mine (she’s Andrea) with a birthday close to mine (we’re three days apart). As fate would have it, that’s what I got in my wife.

Our love story started in Philadelphia in October of 2006 in Amtrak’s 30th Street Station. We were both waiting for southbound train 83, I was heading to Wilmington, Del. and she was heading to Washington, D.C. We made eye contact several times and ended up sitting next to each other on the train and in the 20 minutes I sat next to her, we spoke of food, education, sports and politics. I gave her my business card and waited two weeks before I got an e-mail and another two weeks after that before I got a phone number. After our first date at the McDonald’s in the train station we met in, I knew she was the one.
